Summit named finalist for Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce 2014 Large Business of the Year

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Summit Design and Engineering Services, PLLC was named a finalist for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce’s 2014 Large Business of the Year yesterday at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting. PHE, Inc. and The Carolina Inn were also named finalists in the large category. Other business of the year categories included: mid-size, microenterprise and non-profit. All winners will be announced at the Business Excellence Awards in April.

Forty-nine different businesses and organizations were nominated for 2014 Business of the Year awards, including over 10 in the large category. Eight Summit employees, comprised of our CEO and branch managers, attended the annual event to receive this recognition.

Held at the Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel, the Annual Meeting honored Duke Energy Citizenship & Service, Public-Private Partnership, and Ambassador of the Year awards. Chamber speakers declared successes from 2014 and described plans/focal points for 2015.
